Founder & Owner
Helping Others Home Care LLC was founded by Leonila Diaz, a compassionate professional with over 15 years of combined experience in social services, high-risk and high-needs care management, private caregiving, and assisted living support.
Throughout her career, Leonila has had the privilege of working with seniors and adults with disabilities, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, mental health conditions, and chronic health conditions. These experiences have given her a deep understanding of the importance of compassionate care, patience, communication, safety, dignity, and treating every individual as a person—not simply as a diagnosis or condition.
Education & Professional Background
Leonila’s professional experience is supported by her educational background in Behavioral Science and Psychology at San Jose State University, as well as Liberal Studies with a focus on K–12 Education at Chapman University, now known as UMass Global University.
Her education and professional experience have provided her with a strong foundation in human behavior, psychology, communication, development, care management, and individualized support.

At Helping Others Home Care LLC, we provide personalized, non-medical home care solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of seniors and adults with disabilities. Our services include assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), such as:
● Medication reminders
● Meal planning and preparation
● Light housekeeping and laundry
● Companionship and social engagement
● Grocery shopping and errands
● Transportation to appointments and community activities
Our caregivers are trained and experienced in providing compassionate support to individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. We understand the importance of patience, consistency, and person-centered care, and we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for every client and their family.
